THE LONG RUN

I just finished this book about what the amazing human spirit is capable of  and want to share it with you. Matt Long was run over by a 20 ton bus...not hit....RUN OVER!  After his amazing comeback he went on to create the I Will Foundation which provides support to others who are recovering from devastating illness or trauma.  May his story inspire us all to live to our full potential.

Sunday Run Feb 13/11

We'll meet at 5:30 am ( you know where)  and do 10 miles, even if it kills us.  The start is a little bit earlier than usual as Nicole & Bob have to be at their Zem table at the Forks bright and early.  Don't forget to stop by to say hello to them if you are in the area.  Sweet Dreams and see you in the morning!

PS:  Seems the whining from last week's post did some good.  Been out every day this week ...running, biking, and strength training.  This girl is clawing her way back.    After 10 miles tomorrow she will  officially be back.  Woot woot!

LONG RUN FEB 6/11

I say long run sheepishly because we'll likely only do about 6 miles. Meet at 6 am Timmies at Westwood and Portage. Don't worry, we'll get back up to the big mileage shortly.

...after writing the above I feel I may have left you wondering whats up with the wimpy mileage lately? Basically, we have been having some health issues. Nicole mentioned the latest one but even before that she had recently recovered from an arm infection which caused considerable pain that held her activity level back. I won't go into details because she doesn't even now I am writing about her health ( is that ok? Nicole? Hello?).  Amazingly, her motivation is intact even if her mileage isn't.

On my end,  it took a long time to get my running energy back since having pneumonia in October and now I am left with little motivation.  Now that it is said  I hope to face it and move forward.
