We will postpone until next week. Nicole is resting from her marathon, others will be running the Air Force 1/2, while others are busy coping with life stuff and are finding it difficult getting out for a run at this time. Starting next week we will be adding on mileage as it will commence our training for running our first ultra in October. Hope you all have a great running week.

Hello, my name is Sean, and I just became a follower of your blog. I live in Taiwan for most of the year, but I am in Canada until September. Anyway, I go hiking barefoot in Taiwan quite often. Just yesterday, a friend sent me a link to the book Born To Run. After reading the summary and watching McDougall's video, I decided to look for those special sandals in Winnipeg. I came across this blog while searching. Do you wear those Huarache sandals or do you wear something else? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Sean, welcome to our site. Huaraches are not available here, but you can order them online. Check Barefoot Ted's Adventures ( on our blog list) and you will find info there on how to go about doing that. Ted is one of the characters in the Born to Run book, and he also hikes barefoot(if I remember correctly). We started out wearing cheap water shoes before committing to the expense of vibram five fingers. Some of us wear sandals, and some of us wear extremely old running shoes that have lost their original cushioning. It all depends on what is most comfortable for the runner. Happy trails!
