We are a running group with a focus on running bare feet or using minimalist footwear. Shod and shodless runners are welcome to join us for our Sunday early morning runs. Location to be announced weekly.
I'm presently enjoying a few bevvies...might protest to the time in the a.m. I'll be there, but expect some complaining!
ReplyDeleteI'll be there as well. After an 11 pm soccer game, a post game drink I can't garuntee my condition either
ReplyDeleteawesome! then we can call it a RECOVERY RUN? have fun tonight.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteA running friend, Jackie Gee, passed the Free Press article on to me. I am so happy to see that there are other converts to barefoot out there. I read Born to Run in the summer and started running barefoot in July, just 2 miles at first on grass at Kildonan Park and at the Polo Field at Birds Hill Park. I am almost 60 years old and have been running for about 30 of them. The last few years I have been plagued with hamstring strains and plantar fasciitis. Anticipating winter coming I researched footwear and bought a pair of Vibram 5Fingers, a pair of Vivo Barefoots (which are now my street walking shoes), and a paid of Nike Free V3's. I wear the Nikes right now but was doing my weekly long run in the Vibrams 5 fingers until it really cold. Anyway I do not have any more injuries and I am running on my toes and in much better form.
Hope to run into you on the roads or trails (my favourite) one day.
